Volkswagen has started in Namibia a finishing phase of working out of new crossover Tiguan - the car passes last honing tests. On the African continent engineers Volkswagen, except other, will test work of new radio-and navigating system. On Tiguan the whole complex of systems of the help to the driver in overcoming of the difficult road conditions, named “Offroad Mode” is tested also. It is necessary to press the button and an arsenal of various systems it is activated and transforms a crossover into the present off-road car.

In this last test in deserts of Namibia all without an exception power units with which will equip model also have been tested. For the first time Volkswagen will already offer Tiguan with standardly established on the super charged motor. The crossover will receive petrol motors capacity of 150 h.p., 170 h.p. and 200 h.p., and also diesel capacity of 140 h.p. and 170 h.p.

Variants of external execution Tiguan will differ the special decision of a forward part of a body - two versions “Trend and Fun” and “Sport and Style” with a corner of occurrence of 18 degrees are conceived. The version “Track and Field” can have after additional modernisation an occurrence corner in turn in 28 degrees.

On Tiguan there is a forward suspension bracket of type McPherson, and on a back axis - new four-lever which is ideally combined with system of a full drive 4MOTION. The crossover also has received new generation of system of a steering. “Goes” Tiguan on 16-inch wheel wheels with tyres of dimension 215/65 R16. The version “Sport and Style” can be with 17-inch light wheels and tyres 235/55 R17. For the first time Tiguan in variants for all markets of the world at factory it will be already equipped by help system at parking Park Assist.

The debut of new compact crossover Volkswagen will take place on the international salon in Frankfurt.
