Last year, within the limits of the Parisian motor show has been shown concept Ford Iosis-X - five doors a sport crossover with bright design. Later it has been declared, that Iosis-X it will be started up in a batch production. The first sample of new model the company will present in September on an exposition in Frankfurt.

The new car will receive name X-MAX, its manufacture will begin in the end of 2007, and buyers can receive the first orders in the beginning of 2008. Close contenders of a crossover become Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V.

X-MAX Will inherit set of attractive lines concept Iosis-X. It will have similar blocks of the back headlights, the expressed wheel arches and specific back racks. The interior, and in particular the instrument panel, in the stylistics will be few than to differ from new Mondeo. A crossover will construct on platform Focus that assumes placing on it of the 5-cylinder unit in volume of 2.5 l and capacity of 222 h.p. X-MAX will receive, besides, engines in volume of 1.6 l and 2.0 l, and also diesel motors in volume of the chamber of 1.8 l and 2.0 l.
