Bavarians have strengthened safety of the car, hardly have changed an ex-terrier and have updated the instrument console. The debut of the modernised compartments and a cabriolet of the sixth series will take place at an automobile exhibition in Frankfurt in September.

BMW warns, the updated model will cost hardly more than the present version. Will outwardly distinguish “six” 2008 modelling years from the previous year version difficult enough - improvements of shape of the car have cosmetic character. The bumper in which deeper were cut air taking apertures has in front changed, drawing of head headlights has slightly exchanged. Sideways hardly lines lateral bumpers have more sharply appeared, the cover of a fuel tank has taken a new form, and behind designers have a little corrected a bumper line.

The model salon has received additional variants of furnish, there were also some changes in a control system iDrive, eight which most important buttons are deduced now under an audio-unit.

Optionaly on the updated sixth series it is possible to order cruise-control, system of the prevention of crossing of lines of a marking, system of night vision and adaptive head headlights.

Updating ВMW 650i with engine V8 4.8 capacity of the parametres has not changed of 367 h.p., and here very popular version 630i became more powerful. Engineers have added in system the six-cylinder motor the new mechanism of injection thanks to which capacity of a cursor has increased on 14 h.p. to 272 h.p. the Sixth series of new m. of has got also the improved brake system which earlier this year has been presented on the fifth series. Dynamic indicators 650i have not changed (0-100 km/h for 5.4 seconds), but the indicator of the expense of fuel has decreased on 5 % to 11,7 l. The version 630i spends now for dispersal to 100 km/h for 0.3 seconds less, and the expense of fuel does not exceed 7,8 l.

Abreast updated model BMW has added a variant with the diesel 6-cylinder engine in volume of 3.0 l with two turbocompressors. Capacity of this motor - 286 h.p., speed in 100 km/h is reached for 6.3 seconds, the fuel expense makes 6,9 l.
