Today at the Japanese factory of company Mazda from the conveyor the first compact hatchback under an index “2″ which first copies as it is supposed, will arrive in salons of dealers in home market of the Country of a rising sun already after some days - in the first days of summer has descended. After the Japanese engineers “will test” a novelty in business, Mazda2 begins to be issued and at the second autoenterprise of the company also located on the Japanese islands - it is supposed to deliver the cars collected here in the Old World and on others world markets. In the end of 2007 manufacture Mazda2 is planned to develop also in China.

Let’s remind, that the new car is constructed on the modernised platform, and on four centimetres became shorter - its length makes now 3,88 metres. Thus the sizes of wheel base remained invariable - 2,49 metres. New Mazda2 on 1,5 centimetres became wider (1,695 metres) and on 5,5 centimetres more low - 1,475 metres. The set of power units for a new hatchback will consist of three petrol motors: two 1,3-litre capacity of 75 and 84 horsepowers, and also 1,5-litre capacity of 103 horsepowers. The diesel engine is provided while only one is the 1,4-litre unit familiar on the previous model.
